Tell us about yourself and what you do at the market…
We are Shaun and Dani, the husband and wife team behind Harli + Dash who create modern & on trend graphic and photographic prints for any adult, teen or kid's space!
I am the designer and Dani is the photographer and after working for over a decade for others decided to combine their talents to create a collection of stunning and affordable prints and posters for everyone to enjoy.
Our pieces are 100% designed, printed and framed in Australia yet photographed worldwide.
When did you first know you wanted to be creative?
I have always been creative going back to when I was a school and I enjoyed making things and being creative in design class rather than sitting at a desk and doing maths! This lead to a carer in Industrial design and graphic design and to where I am today.
What inspires you to be creative?
My wife. She is the photographer which are the basis of nearly all of our creations.
Describe your perfect day…
My favourite days are adventure days with my family, when we find somewhere new to explore and photograph and enjoy time together.
What is your best ever creative moment?
I don’t have one but all of my favourite creative moments are on adventure days being inspired and collaborating with my wife on what will make good photographs.
Describe a lesson you learnt from a creative failure…
There is no such thing as failure when you are creative, all it means is you just haven’t found the right customer.
What's the scariest movie you have ever seen?
As a child of the 80s it would have to be The Never Ending story, don’t think I will ever recover from that!
What’s the best advice anyone ever gave you?
You have to believe in yourself and what you are doing and don’t try and be something you are not.
What's your favourite tunes to get you in the creative mood?
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
What do you love most about the Untold Event Co markets?
The people, both customers, stall holders and staff. Everyone is just so lovely and friendly.
Where do you see your business in the next 5 years?
Regular market stalls and hopefully stocking shops and having my products featured in magazines.
